Description
On a glacier tour out of Seward, Alaska we came across a playful Humpback whale who was just half breaching the top of the water making a splash.
The weather was rainy and little Foggy in parts but was able to still get some decent shots.
The humpback whale is a species of baleen whale. It is one of the larger rorqual species, with adults. The humpback has a distinctive body shape, with long pectoral fins and a knobbly head. It is known for breaching and other distinctive surface behaviors, making it popular with whale watchers.
